The cuisine of Kerala is an exotic mix of Nature's very best. It is linked in all its richness to the history, geography, demography and culture of the land. Kerala cuisine has a multitude of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes prepared using fish, poultry and red meat.

Coconuts grow in abundance in Kerala, and are widely used in the cooking. Kerala's long coastline, numerous rivers and backwater networks contribute to many sea and river food based dishes. Rice and Tapioca form the staple food of Kerala.

Spices too play an important role. At 1515 Mepra, we often use our own farm produce in the kitchen.

And if cooking interests you, we would love to conduct classes.
